NABWIC SPRINGS INTO ACTION; A TIME TO CREATE, BUILD, and RENOVATE

“You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it requires people to make the dream a reality.”
– Walt Disney.

Our focus and desire as contractors are to lay a strong foundation in the construction industry. Henry Kravis, the co-founder of Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co., a global investment firm with a market cap of approximately $16.5 billion (as of October 2017) once said, If you build that foundation, both the moral and the ethical foundation, as well as the business foundation, and the experience foundation, the building won’t crumble.”

We are springing into action by introducing our new NABWIC leadership. Click the link to view the entire leadership team. We are excited and thrilled
to announce Tylene Henry as NABWIC’S new incoming President as well as all of our 2022 board members.

In other words, as contractors, we must know that the strength of the foundation we lay is pivotal to the structure of any building. We must know that we already possess the ability to finish any building or else the desire to achieve it would not be there. Once you embrace the desire, you must know that you already can bring it into manifestation; however, we must keep in mind that, the strength of a foundation is just as important for the foundation of any organization, association, or corporation (big or small).

As the results are coming in from NABWIC’s celebration of Women’s History Month, our chapters, areas, and nationally we are experiencing an increase in exposure of our brand, increased awareness, an increase in memberships, and also increased partnerships. This increase in membership and partnerships is the foundation of our organization.
Our members often find it easy to start businesses, but the challenge and opportunity for growth are in the creation and building of the foundation that we lay for our construction businesses. We are finding that the foundation is strengthened with our civic involvement, political awareness, and by providing client support.
For example, our newsletter this month is highlighting some of the impacts we are having in our organization, especially member to member benefits wherein two of our members have been positively impacted by, the local activities, national billion-dollar luncheon in port opportunities, and our SIEMENS partnership, wherein, one member received a contract, while another member received a grant through the MBDA, funded by SIEMENS.
Needless to say, we are building a stronger foundation of cultural diversity, which enriches us all. We are also building a stronger foundation, on both sides of the aisle and in the middle. This allows our members to build and foster strategic relationships and partnerships among small and large corporations, within our membership. This is a member-to-member benefit.
To summarize, foundations are critical and are the building blocks for success. It’s time to spring into action to create, build, and renovate a stronger foundation.
Walt Disney said it well, “You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it requires people to make the dream a reality.” Therefore if you are not a member or partner, and looking for value-added benefits, join us. This is your call to action.
