“Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions.“ John 14:26.
As the founder of NABWIC my desire is to build a mindset for success in the construction trades and at all levels in the industry.
NABWIC’s foundation is built upon four pillars. The first pillar of our foundation is the youth. NABWIC believes in the development of the next generation of leaders in the construction industry. This also includes training our young people to understand and value things like community service and giving.
We are building the construction pipeline for future generations while helping to inspire, encourage, and uplift younger leaders as entrepreneurs in the construction profession and trades. We continue to accomplish this through mentorship support and NABWIC Industry and Construction Days programming. We encourage the powerful success principles of 'Doing and Thinking' with The International Masterminders Association (IMA) and creating a financial empowerment mindset through investment club education with Better Investing.
We understand that no matter how we feel about what is happening in the lives of our youth we remain confident in the words of Franklin D. Roosevelt during a critical period in time as he addressed the University of Pennsylvania on September 20, 1940, "We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future."
Join us in building a future for our youth as we build a pipeline and a construction workforce for the construction industry, and as we produce productive citizens for our communities overall.
We are so proud of our young people who are making notable strides as they head to higher institutions of learning and out into the world. These young girls are daughters, granddaughters, or associated with NABWIC members. They represent the many youths who are influenced by women in professional careers and the construction industry. The ability to serve often starts at home. Sometimes the youth don't do what you say, they do what you do! NABWIC is all about service and inspiring our community. These inspiring youngsters have extended countless hours into their communities and they are just getting started!
This month, NABWIC would like to highlight the following "Girls Who are Going Places"
