NABWIC Brings A Taste of Carolina to the
2022 Annual Meeting and Billion Dollar Luncheon in Transportation Opportunities

"In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure."

When many of us hear the idiom, "A Taste of (something), the term usually brings to mind a strong preference, inclination, or desire to do, taste, or acquire something. It's that "taste" or strong desire that motivates us to achieve.

With a solid history and another year behind us, our organization has already acquired a taste for a transcendent vision. So as we gathered in Raleigh, North Carolina to celebrate our accomplishments, and build on our future strategic goals and objectives, we all had a strong desire to focus on a clear vision and direction for NABWIC's future.

During the month of January, NABWIC had the great pleasure of hosting its 13th National Kick-off Reception and Annual Meeting which included its National Billion Dollar Luncheon in Transportation Opportunities. Hosting the annual meeting in the Tri-State Area was in direct alignment with our mission as one of our strategic goals is to expand into a new area each year.

This year, NABWIC brought a taste of Carolina to our members, stakeholders, sponsors, and transportation officials as we presented contracting opportunities in the transportation industry. We were honored to have guests such as Pete Buttigieg, U. S. Secretary of Transportation, as well as Secretary and Deputy Secretary NC Dept. of Transportation, Eric Boyette and Ebony Pittman.

This year also brought about a change or transition in leadership for NABWIC. For the past eight years our NABWIC President, Kimle Nailer has contributed tremendously towards progressing the NABWIC vision. We cannot thank her enough for her tireless energy, skill, talents, and effective leadership, and for supporting the transition to our new President, Dr. Esther Lambert.

We want to also give a special round of applause to all our special guests, sponsors, stakeholders, and members as they helped us celebrate and expand NABWIC's vision in the Tri-State area.

We trust you will enjoy the photos, videos, and news resulting from this awesome event.

Here's wishing you a successful year as you taste/desire all of the great opportunities that lie in store for each of us!
